Japanese telephone made by Nippon Electric Co. (NEC) Type 3 Automatic. Don't know what year this was made, there is no manufacture date on it anywhere, but I think it's from the 30s. Fully functions, although the audio is not very good. I was told the characters on the dial card are dialing instructions, "Rotate and release".
