Personalized Shakers

While personalized shakers from the Victorian Era are not unheard of, I find this pair interesting.
This shaker, Ive seen in a plain custard and a plain ruby glass but never decorated. These are rather small shakers, only about 2 inches tall and 3/4 of an inch in diameter. The lids have embossed flowers and little star shaped holes.
As you can see the name "Kate" is found on both of them. Wonder who Kate was and where she was from, forever lost in history.
