    The top and bottom are very hard material but don't seem to be wood. The verticle end pieces are wrapped in either leather or animal skin. The small vertical pieces may be wood. It has a hemp like string that it hangs from. It is about 8 inches square.

      I am 99% certain that this an African loom for making fabric.
