This is the actual sale description/Heading for this wonderful Cranberry Pitcher; VINTAGE FENTON GLASS CRANBERRY OPALESCENT SWIRL-SPIRAL OPTIC PITCHER- 7 3/4" X 7"
Of course any Fenton piece would not have had a deep polished Pontil underbase and these colors were not in Fenton's original palette. I suspect that this is either a HARRACH Victorian piece or maybe Stevens & Williams. There are remnants of thick gilding on the rim and an overlay design of gilded flowers on the pitcher itself and on the handle. It is not made of Vaseline (uranium) Glass but the lime green base layer certainly hints to it. The inner layer is a rich opalescent Cranberry and there are pale white swirls over the cranberry layer. The underbase has lots of age wear, a deep polished pontil and with an etched D and another number before the D that is worn off near the base edge.
I found this pitcher quite interesting and I bought it to find out more about it.....I haven't found anything with this exact color combination to positively identify the manufacturer. Any ideas?, thanks, RER(BOB)

beautiful pitcher Bob! and it looks like you probably got a good deal to boot. It's sad that so many folks think that anything that is crimped must be Fenton; like so many think that anything with beads has to be Imperial Candlewick. Haven't seen any Fenton pieces that layered an opalescent swirl over a solid cranberry layer. Very nice!
