Aloha- I have these antique oriental scrolls. I did have a specialist look at them decades ago and I lost all the information he had given me. I believe he said they were of a more recent time period (like late 1800s to early 1900s) and he did name I and actually did decipher the stamp and artist. He said they were nice pieces as the silks themselves were in nice condition but the backing on the scrolls themselves did have some age and possibly bug damage. To me the stamps n these two pieces appear to be the same artists or the same person they were prepared for, I think the specialist told me that the stamps were actually the person who the art was made for and not the artist themselves (I may be wrong?) I am trying to find out any information on these (and I will post my other large one) so I can frame and display them properly in my home with the information next to each piece. I can take full photos of the pieces if that would help me find an age and the name of the art period and any other interesting information on my pieces. My mother loved these and all I know is that Dad had brought them back from his tours of duty in the orient prior to my birth and I was born in 1955 so they are at the very least that old but I do believe the specialist told me they were dated about 40 or more years before my birth. He actually had told me the story behind each piece and I am totally saddened that all that information is lost. I am hoping someone here might kindly help me recover that information. Thank you so much and may you all have a safe and wonderful holiday season. Rev. Joed Miller
