Pixie Reader Lamp by Henri Fugere, mfg by The Hersch Foundry, c1925
Entitled "Contemplar" in the Berman Bronze Encyclopedia page 1174, Volume IV.
Usually attributed to Gerdago, who made bronzes and not spelter statues.
Fugere was born in 1872 and died in 1944. She studied with Barrius, Cavelier, etc and exhibited at The Salon, Paris.
The last photo shows the lamp in my home around November 30, 2013. I put on the largest glass ball I had. The smaller glass beside it with the controlled bubbles is probably the original. The original never fit that well and I have big bubble paperweights that fit much better !~
Dear God, I seem to have gone crazy, I just got this a few days ago, and by tonight I seem to have gone astray online and bought 3 more pixie lamps.
Yikes, there goes my credit !~
