I believe this is a Heywood Wakefield wicker baby carriage. There are no tags but the hubs on the wheels have the script "HW". The wicker, although a little faded, is in great condition and all the mechanical pieces work (hood articualtes, brake, bed recliner, etc.). There is a neat hidden compartment under the mattress on the inside of the carriage and the sliding door on it looks to be original as well. The handle is wooden and the wheels are all in tact and mve freely. Most of the metal is a bit rusty as I found it in a barn in central Massachusetts and paid very little or it.
I've been "picking" as a hobby for years and this is one of the more unique items I've come across. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find much online as to its value - any thoughts?
