This is a (5) Rupees bank note issued in 1942 by the Japanese Government for use in the Occupied Territory of Burma. - Japanese invasion money, officially known as Southern Development Bank Notes, was currency issued by the Japanese Military Authority, as a replacement for local currency after the conquest of colonies and other states in WW II.
JAPANESE INVASION CURRENCY - Purple & Yellow obverse, Purple reverse.
