This is the December 1969 issue of National Geographic magazine featuring the "First Explorers on the Moon" story of Apollo 11 in five parts and full color photography. The astronauts used a Hasselblad 500 EL electrically-driven camera with Carl Zeiss lenses to capture these first ever photographs of the moons surface. The magazine also includes a pull-out 45 rpm 2-sided plastic record called "Sounds of the Space Age" covering Sputnik to the Lunar Landing. Also included is a color pull-out map supplement of Earth's Moon Orbit.
