Dining chair sold by J C McCreery NY, NY. Chair frame #192. Cannot find any other markings on chair. We also have armless dining chairs this style. We have spent much time trying to find any info on these but no joy.

James McCreery & Co. at 801 Broadway. Listed as a dry goods store in the registry of early department stores. That may give you a starting point for research. In 1942 he was listed as owning a Rainier automobile registered at the same address with a permit # 37442. That is from the NY auto registry archives.
