    This shelf unit is surprisingly heavy. there are signs of hand working it in places too. i think it's pretty old - 30s/40s maybe? - but i don't know for sure. does anyone out there know anything about it?

      What this was actually used for I have no idea but I can tell you where I have seen them (40 or 50 years ago). They were used to display potted plants outside a greenhouse or florists shop when I was somewhat younger.
