I have a couple photographs of my uncle Julius wearing different style uniforms. Does anyone have info on word war 1 army infantry uniforms?

Looks like WW1 era-- what information are you looking for about uniforms?

Rank, active duty or casual leave issued?
I don't see any rank insignia, so most likely a private.
I don't see any unit insignia either.
Not sure I understand "active duty or casual leave issued".

Would they have been issued separate uniforms for when they were on leave and out of the trenches?

Nope to #4-- it is the same type of uniform that would have been worn overseas.

Scott is correct as usual, but there is one item that might be of interest to you. Soldiers stateside were issued the “campaign hat” shown in the third photo, but when they went overseas they found the hat was hard to stow away in a knapsack or duffle bag, so in 1917 the “overseas cap” seen in the second photo was issued to soldiers bound for Europe. I have seen photos of soldiers wearing campaign hats on occupation duty, and I’ve seen photos of returned veterans wearing their overseas caps in the states, but it may give you an idea of what was going on at the time of the photos.

Another fun thing to note: In the first two photos, you see the stand-up collar of his jacket, with the enlisted men’s collar insignia visible. In the third photo he is wearing his shirt collar up and over the stand-up collar of his jacket. I’ve seen photos of WWI soldiers doing this before when in casual settings. Those collar insignia were held on by flat round brass nuts on the inside of the scratchy wool collar, and I think this must have been more comfortable, especially in cold weather. The forth photo shows the shirt that was worn under the jacket.
Another thing to note is that in the second photo, in addition to not having any rank or unit insignia, I also see no overseas service stripe or discharge stripe. I think this photo may have been just before he shipped out (or possibly just after arrival?)
Ok, one last post. The first photo shows your uncle with the model 1917 Enfield rifle, which would not have been available until I think about the spring or summer 1917.
