My parents had this tea set as long as I can remember. The story is this set has been in our family for 450 years, but no one else knows anything about it. It has 12 tea and saucer, tea pot, creamer, sugar, 11 desert plates, 2 dinner plates (i think thats what they are) and 1 maybe fruit bowl. It doesn't have a name at all. There is a number 451 inlaid on the bottom of all and the number 12 stamped in gold on all. I haven't been able to find any information about a set with no signature. I would just love to know more history of this if anyone knows.. I'm not even sure if they are form the Haviland/Lamoges collections...If anyone knows anything....

Pretty! I don't think it is Haviland/Limoges and it is not 450 years old. I'm thinking German or Bavarian type late 1800's. Just a guess. They often numbered their pieces. The style is Victorian to me.

It's very beautiful, would love to see more of the set.
I will try to get it out tomorrow and take a couple more pictures. Maybe someone will have a little more information.. Worth a try.

Kind of looks like a Rosenthal design and they used a black stamp, however it should have their maker mark also. I question the age you are stating. Someone here will know.
I question the age too..it may have been just a story someone told my family. The "12" stamp is gold, and other than the embedded 451 there are no more markings or signatures. Thank you all for your help.. This has been with my parents for at least 45 years, that I remember. Other than that, no one in my family knows about it. I have found a plate that's a close match but not an exact....It is on ebay...Antique 19th Century R C Rosenthal Malmaison Pink Roses Plate.. But none of the flowers on my dishes are closed. And the flowers may be carnations??...I'm just not sure
