Hi, your vase is Japanese, moriage (raised) decoration on a cobalt ground. The lady is Kannon (Quan Yin in Chinese) the goddess of mercy. I think the mark should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise. I did not find it in Gotheborg's listing of Japanese marks, including Satsuma. Regards, Jim
