This doll / figurine measures 10" x 2" is made of wood leather wire and shells.
Any thoughts? I guess it's African but any info would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like a African Fertility doll with a lot of age to it .

It's a "ngide," a traditional doll from the Turkana tribe of Kenya. Not a fertility doll, these are made for and given to young girls. The Turkana also make a doll called an "ikidet," made from palm nuts, which is a fertility doll, but it looks nothing like this.
