this is my vendo v-59 machine. its in excellent shape. does anyone know the value and do the cokes just sit inside or is there a rack that goes inside the metal octagon?

Yes, it seems there was a rack. This was known as a spin top maachine like several other Vendo models. see this page for more info:

$150 in tip top shape. Made in the 40's, not highly sought after by collectors.
Pay no attention to lonewolf121. He would kill to purchase one of these for $150. These are very much sought after by serious Coke collectors, especially in original condition. Try more like $800-$1200 in mint condition. This one appears to have been repainted as the Coca-Cola script logo should be in white.
Look in Petretti's 12th edition Ray. Then get back to me. I like your knowledge thus far, maybe I'm missing something?
I'm in it right now. And don't see any machine/cooler listed for under $500. Of course, Petretti said himself that he's not a vending machine collector and only shows a few versions in his book. Where did you see a $150 spin top cooler?
My bad Ray, it's in B.J. Summers guide to Coca Cola. Page 148, listed (v-59), but not pictured. Not the same one?
I don't use BJ Summers guides for anything. His listings/prices are screwy. Too many newer items listed as well, that shouldn't be in a vintage Coca-Cola price guide.

yes it was being restored and they didnt finish painting the logos white. i thought 150 dollars was low but took it to heart. i bought it at a garage sale for 250 dollars.
Well worth $250, they average $500 if the cool and vend!!
