I believe this is an American machine made container for jelly or preserves but have never found another or any info about this particular design. I can tell from the glass that it is quite old probably back to at least the 1930s or 40s. It has a small mold number 13 on the base. 4 inches tall and 3 1/4 inch dia. at the base.
I have one of these. There are two different bands for this jar. Both are red with different writing on them. Hazel Atlas made one of these jars, if not all of them. But some are unmarked on the base.
