This is a wonderful Cabinet Card taken by the Cheney & Lawson Studio in Lansing, Michigan. The photo is identified as Ed Biehesheimer (?). The photo is not dated.
I have not been able to figure out what the prop is that his hand is resting on. At first glance I thought it was a chair, but it's clearly not. Any ideas?
