    Here's the last of the vases I picked up over the weekend. A small 8" octagonal form, very Greek revival in style. The marbled glaze is pale green and grey. There is one glaze miss at the shoulder but no other damage. It has the number 78 stamped in the bottom and a circular ink stamp that says "Made in England" although it's a bit smeared. I haven't been able to find anything online. The glaze looks like a type Burley Winter used as well as McCoy but those are not English companies. So a bit of a mystery here. Any thoughts? -Mike-

    NOTE : Been looking around and this piece looks like it could be from the Beswick pottery company. They were best known for their series of Beatrix Potter characters. The company was sold to Royal Doulton in 1969.

      Hiya Mike! Before I read a thing I thought it looked Stangl-ish. Obviously not but it has similar coloring.
      I'm in Ohio visiting family. (Cleveland area) wondering ii can sneak in some thrifting this morning...

      Hi Amber ! Welcome back to our lovely Ohio weather :P Everything was so nice and cleaned up yesterday and we got hit with a coating of freezing rain plus 4" of lake effect snow overnight. Don't know what it's like out in Cleveland. That's 30 miles from where I live and it can make quite a difference. Hope you can get out and hit a few spots before you have to head back to Cally.       Hey Mike ! Yep heavy coating of ice here in Rocky River too. We hit the Natural History museum. Pretty cool. No thrifts dang it! Chicago is supposed to get 2 to 4 inches of snow tomorrow...hope it doesn't mess with our flight!
