Bought on E-bay a while back.I think it's a fly catcher .Advertised as vaseline but doesn't glow like my vaseline glass.

It's a wasp trap. Also used to catch bees, but mainly for wasps. They get in, but can't get out and die.
Sadly some Sellers on Ebay advertise glass as vaseline, but fail to black light test it.... Which is why when I sell, I always provide at least 1 picture under a Black Light.. Sometimes even 2 - 3 since it can be a Very Good Selling point.
Its still a very interesting Piece.
