    I found this old lamp in an apartment built around 1950s. Each lamp has a key like to turn off or on the lamp. Can anyone help identifying this item. Thanks

      The date the apartment was built has no effect on the lamp. I think you will find the lamp is 20 or 30 years newer. Those swag chain styles were popular but the key type on off got old really fast. We had one up north during the late 70's.
