This rod and reel was bought recently at an auction for $3. I'm having trouble reading some of the wording on the rod. eBay and others are stating their rod is a True Temper. There is no wording on this rod that looks like True Temper, but it could be a TT rod. There is an emblem on it that says Herter's. I can also make out "TIP TOP", "M50" and the word "Genuine". If anyone else has this rod and can read all the lettering, I'd love to hear from you. Thank You..........

I have gotten some of the words printed on this rod thanks to a fellow on eBay. The Genuine which I could make out refers to "Genuine Tungsten Carbide". This guy goes by dano1155 if you care to check his store out on eBay, many great fishing items.
I've got a True Temper Unispin (brown colored fiberglass) and a Johnson Unispin (black color fiberglass). I remember the Bronson name associated with the True Temper Unispin but I don't know the full relationship. When I got the Johnson, I'm guessing that Johnson reels make the Unispin style combo.
They're great outfits to use in their day and worked very well but manufacturing marched on with newer and greater things and the Unispin fell by the wayside.
Good luck.
I recently purchased the same rod u did at a garage sale.. in its original leather case. U have any idea how much it is worth?
I have seen them go for $100 plus.
