Loetz Neptune Vase
8" tall x 3 1/2" wide.
This vase is an example of the Neptune decor in the creta silberiris finish produced by Loetz, circa 1900. The vase has a wonderful platinum blue and gold irridescence covering the entire body and in excellent condition with a polished pontil and fire polished rim. The dimpled form is highlighted by flowing branches of seaweed. This style is documented on www.loetz.com, under the decor index and in Bohmisches Glas 1880-1940 by Ricke.
