This is a 1998 postage stamp souvenir sheet issued by the People's Republic of Benin - a country in West Africa, formerly known as Dahomey until 1975. It is bordered by Togo, Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Niger. The capital of Benin is Porto-Novo, but the seat of government is in Cotonou, the country's largest city and economic capital. The official language of Benin is French. The souvenir sheet measures 4 1/4" by 3 1/8" and contains one postage stamp.
