I found this print and a couple of others pressed between the pages of a art book that I purchased and my first thought was to toss it , but the collector in me thought it was a nice piece of Historical Art from a not so pretty American past ,but none the less a piece of the Early Minstrel Shows , the title reads The Shades of Night.

Great piece. I understand what you mean about mixed emotions, but the right thing to do is what you are doing. That era needs to be spoken of more, instead of the chosen topics. Kids only learn what the curriculum (hope I spelled that right) decides, and it is just not deep enough of an education of the time. Yet another great thing about the internet for those who wish to learn more. Thanks for posting it. :)
