I came across these two books in a box lot at an auction. They are in my opinion mint! Leather covered all pages counted for and beautiful! Only problem is I have two volumes V, VI. What are there history? The date inside reads 1817 and the cover is also imprinted with it. The gold is embedded in the leather. Whomever owned these books before me took excellent care. I need to know the value and I also need to know how to go about getting them into the right hands.
