Radegunder
(15 items)

You asked for it, PhilDavidAlexanderMorris!
At the time those Pictures of the ruins of the Castle were taken, nobody lived there, that has changed since the 70's.
When or who built it, is not known.
Wilhelm von Klamm was the first known owner in 1150.
The"Herren von Ehrenfels" were probably the last who lived in the Castle in the 13th and 14th century.

Thanks for the photos, Radegunder. The cards are beautiful, a real treasure. I take it that the castle is the stone building lost in the trees. I looked up E. von Pleschner in Graz and saw some additional postcard views. It is such a different world to view nowadays.

I seen this : Since 1983 the owners revitalise the building carefully by conserving all the old walls and restored it carefully with new parts. In this way until 1993 the owners erected their new home inside the building which integrates and protects the rests of the outside wall and the side building on the east side. In the moment the tower and the west wall are under reconstruction.

The term "von" indicates Germany to me but see no mention of where this place is. Care to share?
