If you look on the lip/gold part of the vase, there are characters within the medallions.

      Hi Melanie

You have a gorgeous peice of Japanese Satsuma and the gilding is exquisite. The mark on the base is the artists monogram and the painted floral work is to die for. A great find so make sure you take REALLY good care of it. Date wise around the late 19th / early 2oth century. Fabulous piece

Hi Dean, It resembles a Japanese Satsuma vase. I dug, and dug, and found that the vase is from The Kinmen Hong Bo Ceramic Factory.

      ??
      "HongBo" Chinese factory's name.

      ????
Chinese phrase means "make money and accumulate wealth" or something.
