Help me identify the age of this lock. I inherited this lock from my grandfather who probably got it from his father. This lock is at least 100 years old although I do not have any proof for it. The opening mechanism is very tricky and not easy for a layman to open it. They dont make these kind of mechanism anymore. I can send the video on how to open it if you are interested. I am sure this would make a great collectible item and it has a great value in the antique market.
Research jail cell door lock. There are two or three on eBay as well as a couple other sites. One guy lists his as being Asian.
