This is an old terracotta planter - about 20" tall x 14" wide. It's a very nice size to grow many things in. It definitely has some age to it, but i'm not sure how much. i don't see these very often. I think the image is of an elopement - 2 people on a running horse w/ flowers, a palm tree, and some buildings in the background. it looks kind of Indian, but could be Chinese. any guesses as to where it's from and how old it is?

thank you drfluffy. it's a really nice and solid pot - fired high enough to hold up well.

although the images may be far east, the color of this clay and the fact that i found it in california points solidly to mexico as the origin of this pot.
