Before I pack this most wonderful piece of New Zealand pottery away I would like to share it with you!

I am extremely!!!.. lucky to be the very proud owner of this vase....it is extremely rare and not many are seen outside of a museum .... it dates c1880 and is a museum quality piece of pottery...any blemishes seen are tricks of the light.

I can't tell you how wonderful the glaze is and the shape defies gravity, you would not think that the small foot would hold the weight and shape of the body..but it does.

It is approx...13 inches tall or 33cm.

I hope you like it as much as I do...thanks for looking!...:-)

"Potteries existed in the South Otago town of Milton between the early 1870s and the first world war and were at their height in the 1880s"

Hi Phil...yes!..we have sold the house and move in a few weeks times. We have bought a do up that needs a lot..of work which will probably take us a few years, if you include the acre landscaping...location location location..as they say!..ten miutes walk from a fabulous beach. We are putting all our 'stuff' into storage, and just living with the bare essentials....thank you for your interest....:-)
