Hello Fellow Collectors. Mickey Mouse is credited with being the first "Character" timepiece. He made his debut in 1933 on timepieces. The 1933 series of timepieces were produced by Ingersoll/Waterbury and are a wrist watch, pocket watch, two variants of mechanical clocks(one US, one UK) and an electrical clock.
This being is the first ever electric Mickey Mouse clock, commonly called "Tumble Mickey", produced in 1933. As you can see why, the whole body of Mickey rotates around the dial as a second hand would, making one full revolution ever 60 seconds. Mickey's arms are the hour and minute indicators. This and the other two variants of the clocks were this pale green and support a paper band up each side and across the top, depicting several of Disney's earlier characters.
