My obsession with Uranium glass continues... Today, we had to drive to Temacula California for a Volleyball Tourney... Of course, no better way to spend the break time than to check out the nearby antique malls. I found a bowl to go with the salad plates. Super excited. Now I need to find 5 more!!! I have seen them on e-bay but the prices are way too high... So, the search continues.

Temecula is indeed an antiques mecca. That's just an hour away from the bottom of the hill (aka the San Bernardino mountains). Anyway that is a great piece.

forte... We are in San Diego and don't get out there very often... But luckily my daughter's volleyball is getting us out of the house a bit more!!! 2 weeks ago we were in Huntington Beach and I got a bunch of cool stuff from that flea market (need to post soon)...

actually, my parents had something like this back in the 1960s in the living room i remember my father used it for putting loose change in it after shopping, i think it came from the art-deco period of the 1930s?.

Michael, that's very cool... I think you are correct. The original design is from the 30s and I believe it was re-released in the 60s. Thanks for the love.

Yess!!!!!!!!!! I thought I had seen these here. To be sure I put my black light flash to them. I just found 2 of these at GW for $.99. I am not a big fan of GW since I found out that they price the FREE Items they get against Ebay. I guess with these that did not know what they were looking at. they don't look as deep as the last one but I know they are the same. Had it not been for seeing yours I would have passed them by Thank you.

Fascinating stuff and a lovely piece. Throw a couple of pieces of Trinitite on that dish and you'll have the makings of a positively glowing little tea party.
