The company was from Nebraska, and was founded in 1876. They were very very big in their early times, and the particular beer you have is from during the depression or right b4 it in 1930. So it is safe to say you have beer that is 84 yrs old :) They almost made it to 100 yrs, but closed in the 70's, but recently a great grandson resurrected the co in 2013, and although it will never be what it once was, because of corporate America today, they have said the recipe will be startling accurate. Nice item to have, and even the box is awesome

Thanks for the info, I grew up in the Omaha area and drank some Stroz back in the day :)

Howdy. Me thinketh 1952 or thereabouts. Type "Winterbru" into the search box at TavernTrove.com. They also used a similar label around 1935, but those will include the words "Internal Revenue Tax Paid" on the label, as required by federal liquor law for all beer containers from 1933 - 1950. Those bottles are selling for something under $30 at EBay, perhaps in the high teens to mid 20s (unknown). Nice bottle!
