    This glass insulator,,,though availiable in abundance....is considered an antique item....it has inscriptions as " HEMMING RAY - 16 MADE IN USA 5-44"
    5-44 points to it`s manufacturing date probably...

      It's actually Hemmingray, 5 is the mold # & you're correct on 44 as the date.
