    The outside is in a good condition. The stand is secure and not loose. The top and draws open well and fit well when closed. I think its a sowing table. I don't know for sure.

      I hope you find out. I'd really like to know. Maybe it's a jewelry box. I just can't see any reason to have locks on a sewing table.

      I am with Aims... I think it's for silver flatware. It could have also been a tea caddy... They used to lock tea in UK because of the high costs...
