    Model 12 LA catalog no 1381404 fan. These were made from 1946-1949. It has an aluminum base and motor casing. It has 2 speeds and oscillates. Unlike other fans from this era the oscillating mechanism is inside the motor housing. This cage design is possibly the most common of the vintage fans but this is the larger version with a 13" cage.
    Please excuse all the posts but I am on vacation so of course I am buying antiques.

      Thank you very much Jay. It is late 40s. I am pondering if I should repaint this one but the original paint is only on it once. But then again it could really pop with new paint.

      It's looking great as is where I have it now so no repaint. It will get a new vintage cord though..
