Thank you. I purchased this cameo from a reputable cameo broker. You can see the coloration of the different layers of the shell. You can also see the sharp carved lines - the lines do not look rounded or molded. When you purchase a cameo always look at pictures of the underside. A shell cameo will have a curved appearance on the underside and not look flat. Also this cameo is in 14 kt gold setting - most fakes are not in 14 kt gold.
OMG, your collection is stunning. They are all so beautiful. I may post one that I have from the late 1800s with a crazy story to go with! Thanks for sharing these gorgeous pieces.
