I love collecting tea cups! I'm always looking for just one more.
But I have a tea cup that has me mystified. I must admit I'm not knowledgeable about a lot of the makers, but I know the major names, and this one isn't major. I've looked online for Sawaua or Sadawa China to no avail.
If anyone has seen this hallmark or knows the age or any information at all, please let me know.
    Thank you so much!

I have a feeling that SAWA UA is the pattern, and you should concentrate on the “T” and the logo. Maruto Mu of Japan (not sure if that’s how your spell it) used a letter T, with various different logos. Maybe he did as many British Staffordshire potters did, and changed the logo to reflect the pattern on the front? I will see what I can find

I'm still on the hunt for the maker and age of my tea cup. So far, I haven't had much luck. The only bit of excitement was I found another hallmark similar to mine. I've posted a picture of it next to the one on my cup.
Also, the name is definately Sawada. I have another cup where the 'D' is completely closed. I should have been more observant.
So my request goes out again. If anyone knows anything about either of these marks, because I'm sure they related in some way, please let me know! Thank you so much.
      I love this site!
