A good friend gave this to me yesterday. He was given three wall-hangings and a jacket by Billy or one of the other Cockettes. Billy's work has been collected by hardcore San Franciscans for a long time, but also people like Madonna, and the Smithsonian. I think that this piece is from the 70s, possibly one of his early pieces. I'm not sure how to date it though. i have no idea where to categorize this piece!
