Rare set of 4 cameos cast iron Berlin in 1810, taking the ancient grounds after intaglios and cameos Roman or Greek. Objects in vogue at the beginning of the XIX. Made in Germany.
Most left picture : Vestal Virgin measure: 5,2 x2, 5 cm Weight: 9 gr
Second left : Socrates philosopher? measure: 2,3 x 2,1 cm Weight: 3 gr
Second right: : Greece measure: 2,6 x 2 cm Weight: 4 gr
Most right picture: Roman measure: 2,8 x2,1 cm Weight: 4 gr
This kind of cameos, examples of the late 18th, early 19th century classics were made of Iron Berlin. The residents of Germany (Prussia) was asked by their Royal family if they wanted to exchange their gold and silver jewelry to finance the war against Napoleon Bonaparte.
