Small bon bon dish, approx 6"-7" diameter.
The glass is thick and silky, best described as smoky colour with a hue of pink or plum, a bit pinker than it looks in the photos. It has 3 seams, though each part features a bird the foliage is different on each. It shows slightly green under UV & rings like crystal. It has a silky feel & nice quality about it. I assume its pressed glass, but if it is, the pattern is the sharpest i have, 2nd photo shows it off best, its very nice with the soft herons & sharp foliage.
The 'handle' armed diving figure, is a heavy metal (non magnetic) possibly chromed. There's some tiny spots of green on her.
The base is aluminium. The figure and glass make the dish quite heavy, aluminium might have been used to help keep its weight down.
I found a tiny, about 1mm, 'o' stamp on the base, shown on the last photo, its so neat & sharp, it definitely looks deliberate I'd say.
Any help identifying or dating it would be much appreciated.
