    I took this picture while fishing out of Bivalve NJ on the Delaware Bay. This boat has been restored and is used to teach the history of the bay.A hundred years ago the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays were big oyster centers. Oysters were as popular as cheesburgers are today.

      Beautiful, graceful and elegant. An interesting fact that Skipjacks used to be mostly sloop-like ships, but this one is rather has a schooner-like setup.

      Yes Guardian, I believe you are right. I think most of those on the Chesapeake Baywere single masted also.
