We have saved/collected these monies too. I know that I goofed up when I laminated the last one (few years ago). Can anyone tell me alittle about these?

      First picture: #1 - 1984 Issue - Bahamas - 1 Dollar
      First picture: #2 & 3 - 1964 Issue - El Salvador - 1 Colon
      Second picture: bottom - 1964 Issue - El Salvador - 1 Colon
The El Salvadors are all the same except 3 different "F" series
      Second picture: top - 1972-82 Issue - Guatemala - 1 Quetzal
      Second picture: center - 1972-82 Issue - Guatemala - 1/2 Quetzal
      3rd & 4th pic - (1995) 250 Dinars - Iraq (Saddam Hussein)
Yes, laminating it made it virtually worthless to a bank note collector

Thanks aghcollect for explaining these bills. I only laminated 2 of them, Saddam Hussein and the other that I emailed to you. I wish now that I would have used my brain, years ago, when I did that. But I guess whats done is done. There wouldn't be anyway to cut the lamination real close to the bill and attempt removing it, is there?

Whats done is done - still a "conversation" piece - there are probably 250 million of these printed - they are available in mint condition for usually less than $5

Agree with agh on the Iraqi dinars-- not worth much at all. $5 is generous.

They are curiosity and popular among those who served in Iraq.

Right after the Invasion (2003), the exchange rate was about $1 (US)= 3,000 dinars. I did an exchange of about $50 (US) and had a huge amount of bills.

The dinars also had a lot of buying power initially. I recall buying a rotisserie chicken with fresh vegetables for about 1,000 dinars!
