Grand Son of Maltese Famous Artist "Gieuseppe Cali" This painting was completed in the 70's when He lived in NY. He now lives in Florida. He loved long Island , NY, and Painted many beach and sand dune landscape paintings inspired by the scenery of North Sea / South Hampton, NY.

99% certain the portrait is of Arturo Toscanini, world famous Conductor. \
Looks like it is an original Pastel Drawing, not a print.
I cannot comment on value.

Victor Cali was my grandmother's brother. Our family has many of his paintings.
He came to the united States with his mother, two brothers and my Grandmother in 1919 at age 18

Victor's mother was Giuseppina Cali from Sliema Malta iwhen she came to US in 1919 with her children, Mary, Antonia, Giuseppina and Victor had one daughter.
Victor sold MANY of his paintings in the French Quarter in New Orleans Louisiana

Caligina Posted some paintings of G Cali and picture of his grand daughter Mary (my maternal grandmother) whose father was Ugo. Mary came to US 1919 and Married Victor Turnbull also from Malta. When I married I recieved a Dowery from Malta. (sent wedding pic) alsoAlso stamps of his paintings on my facebook.

Caligina. Eddy Camilleri a priest is their cousin. My mother's sister lived with the Cali family in Malta in her 20's. She is now 86 but can give you info about Victor and Giuseppe
