I picked this little gadget up at an estate sale as part of a lot of mixed items this particular piece piqued my interest and I have not been able to figure out what it is called and what it is used for. I need your help once again :)

My guess is a bread crumbs brush and tray for collecting the crumbs. Usually the tray has a straight edge to sweep the crumbs up off the table. But perhaps it was more polite to do it off the edge of the table and on to the tray instead, so sometimes you see trays like this one. Google images for "bread crumbs brush".
