Found this old Spirit of '76 Cub Cadet and just had to have it.
It's all original except someone painted the air cleaner white. Runs like new. I have the mower deck for it but it's getting some soft spots.
I enjoy restoring old lawn & garden tractors.

I am also a collector of lawn & garden memorabilia, so naturally i love it.
Is that the original paint? It looks like the 1984 8-horse model I had in the 1980's minus the white and blue paint. It ran like a champ until the hydrostatic pump stopped working.
It is the original paint. Cub Cadet made the model 76 from 1975 through the mid 80's . In 1976 the made a special Spirit of '76 model which was red, white & blue. Only 503 where made.
If we could only get Robbie Knievel to jump something with this. Cool tractor.
I would pay good money to see that.
