Yet another one of my $5 thrift store finds, perfect for a working drummer like myself. Bearing edge is virgin, perfectly in round, came with all original hardware. I've recorded with it and sometimes take it out to certain gigs. Sounds as good as it did when it left the Ludwig shop 50 years ago.

At some point in its life somebody had written on the batter head "smile cameras are watching you." lol

Well that's a first -- thanks drum -- you got da beat... why more people do not like this on this site is a complete mystery to me-- maybe post it with a cat? No that's reddit... my bad.

Great that the drum is still rockin. Had a few supras over the years. try something new, then back to a supra. Running a 'B' stock later issue Black Beauty as my go to. Have had many snares over the years, but find the only real competition for the Ludwig is a Rogers Dynasonic. Unfortunately Never seem to find one the way I want it, so use my Ludwig with my vintage Big R set. Your 5 dollar thrift store find is probably as good as it gets. Thrift stores near me seem to know about value...damn internet with all it's information.
