Mother had bought this in Japan in the 1960's. It is 17" high and has no markings to indicate where it was made. The painting on the face is very precise and painted on a fabric and is not marred. It's been in a box for many years. I hope that someone may have an idea of the type.

Hi sorry I missed seeing this . She was most likely a Bradley Doll made in Korea and Japan . I have to say though her hair is styled with bangs that I have not seen on their dolls . She would have been a tourist doll made to display not play with. She has a bit of a look of a Barbie doll doesn't she :-) Her quality surpasses most of the Bradley dolls I have seen from hair to clothes better quality .Very popular in 60's and 70's .They are collectible

I would add that because her hair is not styled in their ususal way I would say a Bradley Look a Like type doll . But made in Japan or Korea .
