      This is the bayonet used with the US M1 Rifle during WWII. Usually the American style wire hanger is directly connected to the scabbard. This one has a web frog which might be unusual. I usually collect WWI so this is a bit after my area of expertise.

      Yep it for the M1 Garrand and that is the flaming bomb logo on it. There seem to be 2 types of scabbard one with the canvass strap usually attatch at the top of the scabbard. Is this one folded over?

      No that is not quite what I meant. There is something odd about the strap that on the top of the scabbard. I can't quite put it into words. Everything looks vintage so no worries.
